The Prophet ﷺ said to al-Ashajj, the chief of Abd al-Qays, "You possess two qualities that Allah loves, forbearance and deliberation."
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال للأشج أشج عبد القيس: إن فيك خصلتين يحبهما الله: الحلم، والأناة.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (17:25) through several routes from Qurra bin Khalid, from Abu Jamra, from Ibn Abbas, in a long hadith about the story of the delegation of Abdul-Qays, and it is presented in full in its proper place.
