The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your smile in your brother's face is charity for you, your enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong is charity, your guiding a man in a land where he has lost his way is charity for you, your helping a man with poor eyesight to see is charity for you, your removing a stone, a thorn, or a bone from the road is charity for you, and your pouring from your bucket into your brother's bucket is charity for you."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: تبسمك في وجه أخيك لك صدقة، وأمرك بالمعروف ونهيك عن المنكر صدقة، وإرشادك الرجل في أرض الضلال لك صدقة، وبصرك للرجل الرديء البصر لك صدقة، وإماطتك الحجر والشوكة والعظم عن الطريق لك صدقة، وإفراغك من دلوك في دلو أخيك لك صدقة.
Tirmidhi (1556), Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (891), and Ibn Hibban (529) all narrated it from the hadith of Ikrima bin Ammar, who said, Abu Zumayl told us, from Malik bin Marthad, from his father, from Abu Dharr, who said, and then he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib, and Abu Zumayl's name is Simak bin Walid Hanafi."I say, Marthad is Ibn Abdullah Zamani. No one narrated from him except his son Malik. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators and included his hadith in his Sahih. Ajli said, "A trustworthy successor." Hafiz said in Taqrib, "Acceptable."This hadith of his has established foundations that have been documented in their proper places, and that is why his hadith is judged hasan, as Tirmidhi said. Hadiths with similar meaning have been documented in Jami Kamil in their proper places.
