The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is gentle and loves gentleness. He grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: إن الله رفيق، يحب الرفق، ويعطي عليه ما لا يعطي على العنف.
Ibn Majah (3688), Bazzar in his Musnad (9253), and Ibn Hibban (549), who graded it sahih, all narrated it via Ismail bin Hafs Abli, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, for he is hasan al-hadith.It has also been narrated through another chain, which is what Bazzar reported in Kashf Astar (1964), via Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr, from Ibn Shihab, from Urwa, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Bazzar said, "We do not know of anyone who narrated it from Zuhri in this manner except Abdul-Rahman, and he is layyin al-hadith."I say, however, that the first chain strengthens it, and with this the hadith becomes hasan.
