The Prophet ﷺ said, "The fire that you, the children of Adam, kindle is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell."They said, "Messenger of Allah, even this fire would have been sufficient."He replied, "It has been made to exceed it by sixty-nine parts, each of them equal in heat to it."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: نار بني آدم التي توقدون جزء من سبعين جزءا من نار جهنم قالوا: يا رسول الله، إن كانت لكافية، فقال: إنها فضلت عليها بتسعة وستين جزءا كلهن مثل حرها.
Bukhari related it in the Beginning of Creation (3265), and Muslim in Paradise and the Description of Its Bliss (2843), both from the hadith of Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it. Their wording is the same.
