Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

Muaz bin Jabal used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ, then he would come to his own people and lead them in prayer. On one occasion he recited Baqarah with them. A man cut his prayer short and prayed briefly, and when this reached Muaz he said, "He is a hypocrite."Word of this reached the man, so he went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, we are a people who work with our hands and draw water with our camels. Muaz led us in prayer last night and recited Baqarah, so I shortened my prayer, and he claimed that I am a hypocrite."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Muaz, are you driving people away?" He said it three times. "Recite 'By the sun and its brightness' [Shams 91:1] and 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' [Ala 87:1] and the like of them."
