The Prophet ﷺ said, "I saw myself in a dream cleaning my teeth with a siwak, when two men came to me, one older than the other. I handed the siwak to the younger of them, but I was told, 'Give it to the elder,' so I passed it to the older of the two."
النبي ﷺ قال: أراني في المنام أتسوك بسواك، فجاءني رجلان أحدهما أكبر من الآخر، فناولت الأصغر منهما، فقيل لي: كبر، فدفعته إلى الأكبر منهما.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Dreams (2271), from Nasr bin Ali Jahdami, who said, my father informed me, who said, Sakhr bin Juwayria narrated to us, from Nafi, that Abdullah bin Umar narrated it to him.Bukhari cited it without a full chain in the Book of Wudu (246), saying, "Affan said..." Hafiz said, Abu Awana connected it in his Sahih from Muhammad bin Ishaq Saghani and others, from Affan, and likewise Abu Naeem and Bayhaqi narrated it through his route.
