Ayesha reported, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say during one of his prayers, 'O Allah, call me to an easy reckoning.'When he finished, I asked, 'Prophet of Allah, what is the easy reckoning?'He replied, 'That He looks into his record and overlooks his sins. Whoever is examined closely in the reckoning that Day, Ayesha, is doomed. And every affliction that befalls the believer, Allah expiates his sins through it, even the prick of a thorn.'"
Ahmad narrated it (24215), and Ibn Khuzayma (849) and Hakim (1/255, 57) graded it sahih, all of them from the hadith of Ismail, who said, Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Wahid bin Hamza bin Abdullah bin Zubayr narrated to me, from Abbad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr, from Ayesha, and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq, and he has explicitly stated that he heard it directly.
