The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when the verse "And warn your closest kinsmen" [Shuara 26:214] was revealed to him, said, "People of Quraysh, ransom yourselves from Allah, for I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Sons of Abdul-Muttalib, I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib, I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Safiyyah, aunt of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, ask me whatever you wish of my wealth, but I cannot avail you anything against Allah."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Wills (2753), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (206), both from the hadith of Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab and Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman informed me, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and he mentioned it.There are other hadiths on this same subject, and they are mentioned in the tafsir of Surah Shuara.
