The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who recites the Quran and has memorized it is with the noble and righteous scribes, and the one who recites it while struggling to do so, finding it difficult, receives two rewards."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: مثل الذي يقرأ القرآن وهو حافظ له، مع السفرة الكرام البررة، ومثل الذي يقرأ وهو يتعاهده، وهو عليه شديد فله أجران.
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4937), and Muslim in the chapter on the prayer of travelers and its shortening (798), both of them through Qatada, who said, "I heard Zurara bin Awfa narrating from Saad bin Hisham, from Ayesha," and he related it. The wording given here is Bukhari's, and Muslim's wording is similar.As for his saying "safarah," its singular is "safir," and it is also said "safarat," meaning "he wrote." From this the scribe is called "safir," and the book is called "sifr," with its plural being "asfar." What is meant by it here are the noble recording angels, as has come in the sahih.
