The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Purification is half of faith. Saying 'Praise be to Allah' fills the scale. 'Glory be to Allah' and 'Praise be to Allah' together fill what lies between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is light. Charity is proof. Patience is illumination. The Quran is either an argument for you or against you. Every person sets out each morning and trades his soul, either freeing it or destroying it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الطهور شطر الإيمان، والحمد لله تملأ الميزان، وسبحان الله والحمد لله تملآن ما بين السماوات والأرض، والصلاة نور، والصدقة برهان، والصبر ضياء، والقرآن حجة لك أو عليك، كل الناس يغدو فبائع نفسه فمعتقها أو موبقها.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification (223), from Ishaq bin Mansur, who said, Habban bin Hilal narrated to us, who said, Aban narrated to us, who said, Yahya narrated to him, that Zayd told him, that Abu Salam told him, from Abu Malik Ashari, who mentioned it.
