The people asked, "Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Do you have any difficulty seeing the moon on the night of a full moon?"They said, "No, Messenger of Allah."He asked, "Do you have any difficulty seeing the sun when no cloud is before it?"They said, "No, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Then that is how you will see Him."
أن الناس قالوا: يا رسول الله، هل نري ربنا يوم القيامة؟ فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هل تضارون في القمر ليلة البدر؟ قالوا: لا يا رسول الله، قال: فهل تضارون في الشمس ليس دونها سحاب؟ قالوا: لا يا رسول الله. قال: فإنكم ترونه كذلك.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (806) and in the Book of Riqaq (6573), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Iman (182), both from the hadith of Abu Yaman, who said, Shuayb informed us, from Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab and Ata bin Yazid Laythi informed me, that Abu Hurairah informed them both, and he related the hadith in full.There are many other hadiths on this same subject, and they are mentioned in the Book of Iman.
