The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you were to rely upon Allah with true reliance, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They set out in the morning with empty stomachs and return in the evening with full ones."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لو أنكم توكلون على الله حق توكله لرزقكم كما يرزق الطير، تغدو خماصا وتروح بطانا.
Tirmidhi (2344), Ibn Majah (4164), and Ahmad (205) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (730) and Hakim (4/318) graded it sahih, all of them through routes from Abdullah bin Hubayra, from Abu Tamim Jayshani, from Umar bin Khattab, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith, and we do not know it except from this route. Abu Tamim Jayshani's name is Abdullah bin Malik."Hakim said, "This is a hadith with a sahih chain of transmission."
