Ashath bin Qays reported,
A boy was born to me, and I received the good news while I was with the Prophet ﷺ. I said, "I would have preferred a bowl of bread and meat in his place."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Do you say that? They make one stingy, cowardly, and sorrowful, yet they are the fruit of the heart and the coolness of the eye."

Sahihعن الأشعث بن قيس قال
ولد لي غلام، فبشرت به وأنا عند النبي ﷺ فقلت: وددت لكم مكانه قصعة من خبز ولحم، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إن قلت ذاك، إنهم لمبخلة مجبنة محزنة، وإنهم لثمرة القلوب وقرة العين.

Reported by Hakim (4/239) from Hasan bin Yaqub, who said, Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated to us, he is Saghani, Abu Asim narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Amash, from Khaythama, from Ashath bin Qays, who said, then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith, meeting the standard of the two Shaykhs."A note of caution, in the printed edition of Mustadrak it appears as "Hasan bin Muhammad bin Ishaq, Abu Asim narrated to us," 
and I corrected it from Ithaf Mahra (1/381).His saying, "So fear Allah as much as you are able", means through compliance with His commands and avoidance of His prohibitions, and this was qualified by ability and capacity. This verse indicates that any obligation a servant is unable to fulfill is lifted from him, and that if he is able to perform part of what is commanded but unable to perform the rest, he does what he is able to do, and what he is unable to do is lifted from him.There is no contradiction between this verse and the verse in Surah Al Imran [3:102], "O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims" [Al Imran 3:102], for true fear of Allah is that the servant does what he is able to do, without being negligent in it.
