The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "We are the last to come yet the first on the Day of Resurrection, even though they were given the Scripture before us and we were given it after them. This is their day which was prescribed for them, but they differed concerning it, and Allah guided us to it. So they follow us in it. The Jews observe tomorrow, and the Christians the day after."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: نحن الآخرون السابقون يوم القيامة، بيد أنهم أوتوا الكتاب من قبلنا، وأوتيناه من بعدهم، وهذا يومهم الذي فرض عليهم فاختلفوا فيه، فهدانا الله له، فهم لنا فيه تبع؛ فاليهود غدا، والنصارى بعد غد.
Bukhari narrated it in "Oaths and Vows" (6624), and Muslim narrated it in "Friday Prayer" (855:21), both of them through Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Mamar informed us, from Hammam bin Munabbih, who said, this is what Abu Hurairah told us, and then he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Muslim, while Bukhari confined himself to his saying ﷺ, "We are the last, yet the foremost on the Day of Resurrection."
