My mother came to me hoping for kindness during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, so I asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Shall I maintain ties with her?"He said, "Yes."Ibn Uyayna said, "So Allah Almighty revealed concerning her, 'Allah does not forbid you from those who have not fought you over religion'" [Mumtahanah 60:8].
