The Ansar said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Divide the palm trees between us and our brothers."He replied, "No."So they said to the emigrants, "Spare us the labor and we will share the fruit with you."They answered, "We hear and obey."
قالت الأنصار للنبي ﷺ: اقسم بيننا وبين إخواننا النخيل قال: لا قالوا: تكفونا المؤونة ونشرككم في الثمرة، قالوا: سمعنا وأطعنا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Farming and Sharecropping (2325) from Hakam bin Nafi, he said, Shuayb informed us, he said, Abu Zinad told us, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it. And His saying, "and give preference over themselves, even though they are in need" [Hashr 59:9].
