The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was granted victory by the east wind, and Aad were destroyed by the west wind."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: نصرت بالصبا وأهلكت عاد بالدبور.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on the prayer for rain (900), through several routes from Muhammad bin Jafar, who said, "Shubah narrated to us, from Hakam, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas," and he related it.His saying, "the Dabur," refers to a wind that blows from the west, opposite the Qabul, which is the Saba wind that comes from the east.
