Abdullah bin Masud reported,
They came down upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was reciting the Quran at Batn Nakhlah. When they heard him, they said to one another, "Be silent," and they said, "Hush." They were nine, one of whom was Zawbaah. So Allah 
revealed, "And when We directed to you a company of jinn listening to the Quran. When they attended it, they said, 'Listen quietly'" until His words "clear error" [Ahqaf 46:29–32].

Hasanعن عبد الله بن مسعود قال
هبطوا على النبي ﷺ وهو يقرأ القرآن ببطن نخلة، فلما سمعوه، قالوا: انصتوا قالوا صه. وكانوا تسعة أحدهم زوبعة، فأنزل الله عز وجل: {وإذ صرفنا إليك نفرا من الجن يستمعون القرآن فلما حضروه قالوا أنصتوا} الآية إلى {ضلال مبين}.
Hakim (2/456) narrated it from Abu Ali Hafiz, who reported from Abdan Ahwazi, from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, from Abu Ahmad Zubayri, from Sufyan, from Aasim, from Zirr, from Abdullah bin Masud, who said, and then he related it.Hakim said, "sahih in isnad."Its isnad is hasan because of Aasim, who is Ibn Bahdala, for his hadith is hasan.
