He said, "I said, 'Messenger of Allah, tell me something about Islam that I will not need to ask anyone else about after you.'"He replied, "Say, 'I believe in Allah,' then remain steadfast."
قال: قلت: يا رسول الله! قل لي في الإسلام قولا لا أسأل عنه أحدا بعدك؟ قال: قل: آمنت بالله، فاستقم.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (38) through several routes from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Sufyan bin Abdullah Thaqafi, who said, and then he related it.His saying, "The angels descend upon them, saying, 'Do not fear and do not grieve, and rejoice in the paradise you were promised'" [Fussilat 41:30] means that the angels descend upon them at the time of death and give them glad tidings of Allah's pleasure and their deliverance from His punishment, exalted is He.
