The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first two adversaries on the Day of Resurrection will be two neighbors."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أول خصمين يوم القيامة جاران.
Ahmad (17372) and Tabarani in al-Kabir (17/309) both narrated it through Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, "Ibn Lahia narrated to us, from Abu Ushana, from Uqba bin Amir," and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, about whom there is well-known discussion, but the narration of Qutayba bin Saeed from him is more sound, like the narration of the Abadila from him. Moreover, he was not alone in narrating it, rather he was corroborated, for Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (17/636) through Yahya bin Sulayman Jafi, who said, "Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Amr bin Harith informed me, from Abu Ushana," with the same wording. Yahya bin Sulayman is hasan al-hadith, and the rest of the narrators in the chain are trustworthy.
