Busr bin Jahash reported,

The Prophet ﷺ once spat into his palm, placed his finger upon it, and said, "Allah says, 'Son of Adam, how can you escape Me, when I created you from something like this? Then, when I shaped you and proportioned you, you walked about in two fine garments while the earth groaned beneath your tread. You gathered wealth and withheld it, until when your soul reached your throat, you said, "Now I will give in charity!" But how could it be the time for charity then?'"

عن بسر بن جحاش القرشي

أن النبي ﷺ بزق يوما في كفه، فوضع عليها أصبعه، ثم قال: قال الله: ابن آدم! أنى تعجزني، وقد خلقتك من مثل هذه، حتى إذا سويتك وعدلتك مشيت بين بردين وللأرض منك وئيد، فجمعت ومنعت، حتى إذا بلغت التراقي، قلت: أتصدق، وأنى أوان الصدقة.
