Abu Hazim reported,

I was behind Abu Hurairah while he was performing ablution for prayer. He extended his hand in washing until it reached his armpit. I said to him, "Abu Hurairah, what kind of ablution is this?"He replied, "Sons of Faruq, are you here? Had I known you were here, I would not have performed this ablution. I heard my beloved friend ﷺ say, 'The ornament of the believer will reach as far as the ablution reaches.'"

عن أبي حازم قال

كنت خلف أبي هريرة وهو يتوضأ للصلاة، فكان يمد يده حتى تبلغ إبطه، فقلت له: يا أبا هريرة! ما هذا الوضوء؟ فقال: يا بني فروخ! أنتم ههنا؟ لو علمت أنكم ههنا ما توضأت هذا الوضوء، سمعت خليلي ﷺ يقول: تبلغ الحلية من المؤمن حيث يبلغ الوضوء.
