The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was traveling along the road to Mecca and passed by a mountain called Jumdan. He said, "Move on, this is Jumdan. The mufarridun have gone ahead."The companions asked, "Who are the mufarridun, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "The men and women who remember Allah abundantly."
كان رسول الله ﷺ يسير في طريق مكة، فمر على جبل يقال له: جمدان، فقال: سيروا، هذا جمدان، سبق المفردون قالوا: وما المفردون يا رسول الله؟ قال: الذاكرون الله كثيرا والذاكرات.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Remembrance (2676), from Umaya bin Bistam Ayshi, who said, Yazid, meaning Ibn Zuray, narrated to us, who said, Rawh bin Qasim narrated to us, from Ala, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.
