The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not sleep until he had recited "Alif Lam Mim. The revelation of the Book" [Sajdah 32:1–2] and "Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion" [Mulk 67:1].
كان رسول الله ﷺ ينام حتى يقرأ {آلم تنزيل} السجدة، و{تبرك الذي بيده الملك}.
Reported by Tirmidhi (2892), Ahmad (14659), Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (1209), and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (707-708), all of them through routes from Layth bin Abu Salim, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir, who mentioned it.Layth bin Abu Salim is daif, but he was corroborated by Mughira bin Muslim Khurasani, who is truthful, from Abu Zubayr with the same wording. His hadith was recorded by Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (1207) and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (706). The discussion of it is presented at length in the book on supplications and remembrances.
