He said, "Five have already passed: the smoke, the punishment, the Romans, the mighty seizure, and the moon."
قال خمس قد مضين: الدخان، واللزام، والروم، والبطشة، والقمر.
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4767), and Muslim in the description of resurrection (41:2798), both through the route of Amash, from Abu Duha Muslim bin Sabih, from Masruq, from Abdullah, as mentioned. The wording given is Muslim's, and Bukhari's wording is similar. This is an abridgment of the longer hadith mentioned previously, for some of the narrators shortened his speech and mentioned these five points without detail.
