An Arabi came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "What is the Trumpet?"He replied, "A horn that will be blown into."
جاء أعرابي إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ما الصور؟ قال: قرن ينفخ فيه
Abu Dawud (4742) and Tirmidhi (2430, 3244) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (7312) and Hakim (2/436) graded it sahih, all of them through the route of Sulayman Taymi, from Aslam Ajli, from Bishr bin Shighaf, from Abdullah bin Amr, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."As for His statement, "Then whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified" [Naml 27:87], fear here means distress, which comes over a person from something frightening.As for His statement, "except whom Allah wills" [Naml 27:87], there is disagreement about who this exception refers to. Many scholars held that they are the martyrs, since they are alive with their Lord, provided for, even though the people of this world count them among the dead. Mention of them occurs in the hadith of Abu Hurairah.
