When the Prophet ﷺ would rise at night to pray tahajjud, he would say, "O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all who dwell in them. To You belongs all praise. To You belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all who dwell in them. To You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise. You are the Sovereign of the heavens and the earth…"
كان النبي ﷺ إذا قام من الليل يتهجد قال: اللهم لك الحمد أنت قيم السموات والأرض ومن فيهن، ولك الحمد، لك ملك السموات والأرض ومن فيهن، ولك الحمد أنت نور السموات والأرض، ولك الحمد أنت مالك السماوات والأرض…
This was narrated by Bukhari in the Book of tahajjud (1120), and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers (769), both from the hadith of Sufyan, from Sulayman bin Abu Muslim al-Ahwal, from Tawus, who heard Ibn Abbas, and he related it.As for His saying, "a blessed olive tree" [Nur 24:35], it means that the olive is a blessed tree, whose oil is eaten and used for anointing, as mentioned in the hadith.
