I asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?"He answered, "Prayer at its proper time."I asked, "Then which?"He said, "Then kindness to one's parents."I asked, "Then which?"He said, "Striving in the path of Allah."
Bukhari narrated it in "The Prayer Times" (527), and this is his wording, and Muslim in "Faith" (85), both from the hadith of Shubah, from Walid bin Iyad, that he heard Abu Amr Shaybani say, "The owner of this house told us," and he pointed to the house of Abdullah bin Masud, and he related it.
