The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that day, "Let the Jews know that there is room for ease in our religion. I have been sent with an upright and tolerant faith."
قال رسول الله ﷺ يومئذ: لتعلم يهود أن في ديننا فسحة، إني أرسلت بحنيفية سمحة.
Ahmad narrated it (24855) from Sulayman bin Dawud, who said, Abdul-Rahman narrated to us, from his father, who said, Urwa said to me, that Ayesha said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Abdul-Rahman, who is Ibn Abu Zinad, for he is one whose hadith is hasan.Of similar meaning is what was narrated from Ibn Abbas, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Which religion is most beloved to Allah?" He said, "The easy, upright faith."Ahmad narrated it (2107), and Abd bin Humayd (569), and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (287), all of them through Yazid bin Harun, who said, Muhammad bin Ishaq informed us, from Dawud bin Husayn, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said, and then he mentioned it. In it is Muhammad bin Ishaq, who is a mudallis, and he narrated it using the ambiguous form "from."
