The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon and said, "You will be gathered before Allah barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. 'As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. A promise binding upon Us, and We shall surely fulfill it' [Anbiya 21:104]. Then the first to be clothed on the Day of Resurrection will be Ibrahim. Beware, men from my community will be brought forward and taken away to the left, and I will say, 'My Lord, these are my companions!' It will be said, 'You do not know what they did after you were gone.' So I will say what the righteous servant said, 'And I was a witness over them as long as I remained among them, but when You took me up, You were the watcher over them, and You are Witness over all things' [Maidah 5:117]. Then it will be said, 'These people never ceased turning back on their heels from the moment you parted from them.'"
خطب النبي ﷺ فقال: إنكم محشورون إلى الله حفاة عراة غرلا {كما بدأنا أول خلق نعيده وعدا علينا إنا كنا فعلين} ثم إن أول من يكسى يوم القيامة إبراهيم، ألا إنه يجاء برجال من أمتي، فيؤخذ بهم ذات الشمال، فأقول: يا رب أصحابي، فيقال: لا تدري ما أحدثوا بعدك، فأقول كما قال العبد الصالح: {وكنت عليهم شهيدا ما دمت فيهم} إلى قوله: {شهيد} [سورة المائدة: ١١٧]، فيقال: إن هؤلاء لم يزالوا مرتدين على أعقابهم منذ فارقتهم.
Bukhari related it in the tafsir (4740), and Muslim in Paradise and the description of its bliss and its people (58:2860), both of them through Shuba, from Mughira bin Numan, a shaykh from Nakha, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said, and then he mentioned it. The wording given here is Bukhari's.
