Rabi bint Nadr came to the Prophet ﷺ. Her son Haritha bin Suraqa had been struck on the day of Badr by a stray arrow. She came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Tell me about Haritha. If he has attained good, I will count it as a reward and be patient, and if he has not attained good, I will strive in supplication for him."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Mother of Haritha, there are gardens within Paradise, and your son has attained the highest Firdaws. Firdaws is the elevated part of Paradise, its middle and its best."
أن الربيع بنت النضر أتت النبي ﷺ، وكان ابنها حارثة بن سراقة أصيب يوم بدر، أصابه سهم غرب، فأتت رسول الله ﷺ، فقالت: أخبرني عن حارثة، لئن كان أصاب خيرا احتسبت وصبرت، وإن لم يصب الخير اجتهدت في الدعاء. فقال النبي ﷺ: يا أم حارثة! إنها جنان في جنة، وإن ابنك أصاب الفردوس الأعلى، والفردوس ربوة الجنة وأوسطها وأفضلها.
Narrated by Tirmidhi (3174) — and this is his wording — Tabarani in Al-Kabir (24/262–263), Ibn Hibban (958), Ibn Khuzayma in Kitab al-Tawhid (781), and Tabari in his Tafsir (15/436), all of them through the route of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, from Qatada, from Anas bin Malik, who related it.Its chain is sahih given that it has a basis. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith from the narration of Anas."
