Haritha was struck down on the day of Badr, while still a young boy. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, you know how dear Haritha was to me. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient and seek my reward with Allah. But if it is otherwise, you will see what I do."He replied, "Woe to you, have you lost your senses? Is it just one Paradise? They are many gardens, and he is in the Garden of Firdaws."
Bukhari narrated it in Kitab al-Maghazi (3982) from Abdullah bin Muhammad, who said, Muawiya bin Amr told us, Abu Ishaq (that is, Ibrahim bin Muhammad Fazari) told us, from Humayd (that is, Humayd the Tall), from Anas, who said, and then he related the hadith. His statement, "Haritha was struck down on the day of Badr," refers to the son of Suraqa bin Harith bin Adi Ansari. His father Suraqa was a companion of the Prophet and was martyred on the day of Hunayn. His mother was Rabi bint Nadr, the aunt of Anas bin Malik.
