Zayd bin Arqam reported,
Ubaydullah bin Ziyad sent for me, so I went to him.He said, "What are these reports you keep narrating from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that we cannot find in the Book of Allah 
? You claim he has a basin in Paradise!"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself told us about it and promised it to us."Ubaydullah said, "You are lying. You are simply an old man who has lost his mind!"He answered, "I heard it with my own ears, and my heart retained it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in Hellfire.' I have not lied about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

Sahihعن زيد بن أرقم، قال
بعث إلي عبيد الله بن زياد، فأتيته فقال: ما أحاديث تحدثها وترويها عن رسول الله ﷺ لا نجدها في كتاب الله عز وجل؟ تحدث أن له حوضا في الجنة! قال: لقد حدثناه رسول الله ﷺ له ووعدناه. قال: كذبت، ولكنك شيخ قد خرفت! قال: إني قد سمعته أذناي، ووعاه قلبي من رسول الله ﷺ يقول: من كذب علي متعمدا، فليتبوأ مقعده من جهنم. وما كذبت على رسول الله ﷺ.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (19266), and Tabarani in Kabir (5/203-204), and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (217), all of them through the route of Abu Hayan Taymi, [who said] Yazid bin Hayan Taymi narrated to me, he said, Zayd bin Arqam narrated to us in his gathering, he said, Ubaydullah bin Ziyad sent for him, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is sahih. Hakim narrated it through this same route in Mustadrak (1/77) and said, "It meets the criteria of Muslim."Regarding his words "kharift" it is said "kharifa the man" following the pattern of "samia," with the dotted kha and the plain ra, meaning his mind became impaired due to his old age.
