The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My example and yours is like that of a man who kindled a fire, and the locusts and moths began falling into it while he tried to drive them away. I am holding you back by your waistbands from the Fire, but you keep slipping out of my hands."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: مثلي ومثلكم كمثل رجل أوقد نارا، فجعل الجنادب والفراش يقعن فيها، وهو يذبهن عنها، وأنا آخذ بحجزكم عن النار، وأنتم تفلتون من يدي.
