Abu Musa Ashari reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah 
grants the wrongdoer respite, but when He seizes him, He does not let him escape." Then he recited, "Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe" [Hud 11:102].

قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الله عز وجل يملي للظالم، فإذا أخذه لم يفلته ثم قرأ: {وكذلك أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى وهي ظالمة إن أخذه أليم شديد}

Bukhari related it in the tafsir (4686), and Muslim in righteousness, kinship ties, and manners (2583), both from Abu Muawiya, who said, Burayd bin Abu Burda narrated to us, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said, then he mentioned it. Their wording is identical.
