The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three whom Allah has obligated Himself to help: the one striving in the path of Allah, the slave under a contract of manumission who intends to fulfill it, and the one marrying who seeks to preserve his chastity."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ثلاثة حق على الله عونهم: المجاهد في سبيل الله، والمكاتب الذي يريد الأداء، والناكح الذي يريد التعفف.
Tirmidhi (1655), Nasai (3120, 3218), Ibn Majah (2518), and Ahmad (7416) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (4030) and Hakim (2/160) graded it sahih, all of them via Ibn Ajlan, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Ajlan, whose hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi also graded it hasan. As for Hakim, he graded it sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, because he does not distinguish between sahih and hasan.His saying, "and those in debt" [Tawbah 9:60], refers to those who took on debt for themselves without committing a sin, or those who took on debt on behalf of others for a good cause, reconciliation between people, and similar matters. They are given from charity, as is established in the sahih, even if they are wealthy.
