Adi bin Hatim reported,

While I was with the Prophet ﷺ, a man came to him and complained of poverty. Then another man came and complained of highway robbery.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Adi, have you seen Hira?"I replied, "I have not seen it, but I have been told about it."He said, "If your life is prolonged, you will surely see a woman traveling in her litter from Hira until she circles the Kaabah, fearing none but Allah."I said to myself, "But what about the bandits of Tayyi who have spread terror throughout the land?"He continued, "And if your life is prolonged, the treasures of Khosrau will surely be conquered."I asked, "Khosrau, son of Hormuz?"He said, "Khosrau, son of Hormuz. And if your life is prolonged, you will see a man bring out a handful of gold or silver searching for someone to accept it from him, and he will find no one to take it. And every one of you will surely meet Allah on the day he meets Him, with no interpreter between him and Him to translate for him. Allah will say, 'Did I not send a messenger to you who conveyed the message to you?' He will reply, 'Yes.' Allah will say, 'Did I not give you wealth and bestow favors upon you?' He will reply, 'Yes.' Then he will look to his right and see nothing but Hellfire, and he will look to his left and see nothing but Hellfire."Adi said, I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Shield yourselves from the Fire, even with half a date. Whoever cannot find half a date, then with a kind word."Adi said, I saw the woman travel in her litter from Hira until she circled the Kaabah, fearing none but Allah, and I was among those who conquered the treasures of Khosrau, son of Hormuz. And if your lives are prolonged, you will surely see what the Prophet Abu Qasim ﷺ said, that a man will bring out a handful.

عن عدي بن حاتم قال

بينا أنا عند النبي ﷺ إذ أتاه رجل، فشكا إليه الفاقة، ثم أتاه آخر، فشكا قطع السبيل. فقال: يا عدي! هل رأيت الحيرة؟ قلت: لم أرها، وقد أنبئت عنها. قال: فإن طالت بك حياة، لترين الظعينة ترتحل من الحيرة، حتى تطوف بالكعبة، لا تخاف أحدا إلا الله- قلت فيما بيني وبين نفسي: فأين دعار طيئ الذين قد سعروا البلاد- ولئن طالت بك حياة، لتفتحن كنوز كسرى. قلت: كسري بن هرمز. قال: كسري بن هرمز، ولئن طالت بك حياة، لترين الرجل يخرج ملء كفه من ذهب أو فضة، يطلب من يقبله منه، فلا يجد أحدا يقبله منه، وليلقين الله أحدكم يوم يلقاه، وليس بينه وبينه ترجمان يترجم له. فيقولن ألم أبعث إليك رسولا، فيبلغك، فيقول: بلى. فيقول: ألم أعطك مالا، وأفضل عليك، فيقول: بلى. فينظر عن يمينه، فلا يرى إلا جهنم، وينظر عن يساره، فلا يرى إلا جهنم. قال عدي: سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: اتقوا النار ولو بشقة تمرة، فمن لم يجد شقة تمرة، فبكلمة طيبة. قال عدى: فرأيت الظعينة ترتحل من الحيرة حتى تطوف بالكعبة، لا تخاف إلا الله، وكنت فيمن افتتح كنوز كسري بن هرمز، ولئن طالت بكم حياة، لترون ما قال النبي أبو القاسم ﷺ: يخرج ملء كفه.
