This verse was revealed concerning us, "And those related by blood are nearer to one another in the Book of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things" [Ahzab 33:6].He explained, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had established a bond of brotherhood between a man from the Muhajirun and a man from the Ansar, and we had no doubt that we would inherit from one another. Had Kaab died with no one to inherit from him, I believed that I would be his heir, and had I died in the same way, he would have inherited from me. This continued until this verse was revealed, "And those related by blood are nearer to one another in the Book of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things" [Ahzab 33:6].
فينا نزلت هذه الآية {وأولوا الأرحام بعضهم أولى ببعض في كتب الله إن الله بكل شيء عليم} قال: كان رسول الله ﷺ قد آخي بين رجل من المهاجرين ورجل من الأنصار، فلم نشك أنا نتوارث، لو هلك كعب وليس له من يرثه، فظننت أني أرثه، ولو هلكت كذلك يرثني حتى نزلت هذه الآية {وأولوا الأرحام بعضهم أولى ببعض في كتب الله إن الله بكل شيء عليم}

Ibn Abu Hatim narrated it in his Tafsir (5/1742-1743), and Hakim (4/344-345), and this wording is his, both of them by way of Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Zinad, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Zubayr bin Awwam, who said, then he related it. Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in isnad." Its isnad is hasan because of Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Zinad.
