The Prophet ﷺ was more bashful than a virgin in her private chamber, and whenever he saw something he disliked, we could recognize it in his face.
كان النبي ﷺ أشد حياء من العذراء في خدرها، فإذا رأى شيئا يكرهه عرفناه في وجهه.
Bukhari narrated it in Adab (6102), and Muslim in the Virtues of the Prophetﷺ (2320), both from the hadith of Shubah, from Qatada, who said, I heard Abdullah, that is, Ibn Abu Utba, the freed slave of Anas, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he mentioned it likewise, their wording being the same.
