The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not wish to meet the enemy, but when you do meet them, stand firm."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: لا تمنوا لقاء العدو، فإذا لقيتموهم فاصبروا.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions (1741) through several routes, from Abu Amir Aqadi, from Mughira, that is, Ibn Abdul-Rahman Hizami, from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Bukhari mentioned it as a suspended narration in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions (3026), from Abu Amir Aqadi, with the same chain.
