The Messenger of Allah ﷺ apportioned the spoils by giving two shares for the horse and one share for the man.
أن رسول الله ﷺ قسم في النفل: للفرس سهمين، وللرجل سهما.
Bukhari related it in jihad and expeditions (2863), and Muslim in jihad and expeditions (1762), both through Ubaydullah bin Umar, who said, we were told by Nafi, from Abdullah bin Umar, and he mentioned it, and the wording is Muslim's, while Bukhari's wording is similar. Women who take part in military expeditions are not given a share of the spoils, but they are given a portion from the booty.
