Amr bin Mura reported,

I heard Abu Waail say, "I heard Abdullah bin Masud say..."I asked him, "Did you yourself hear it from Abdullah?"He replied, "Yes."And he traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "No one is more jealous than Allah, and for that reason He has forbidden indecencies, both what is open and what is hidden. And no one loves praise more than Allah, and for that reason He has praised Himself."

His saying, "Say, come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. That you not associate anything with Him, and to parents good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty. We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right. That is what He has instructed you with."
