Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The polytheists said, "Whatever Allah has slaughtered, do not eat, but whatever you yourselves slaughter, eat." So Allah عز وجل revealed, "And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned" [Anam 6:121].

في قوله تعالى: {وان الشيطين ليوحون الى اوليئهم}

عن ابن عباس يقولون

ما ذبح الله فلا تأكلوه، وما ذبحتم أنتم فكلوه. فأنزل الله عز وجل {ولا تاكلوا مما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه}.

His saying, "So eat of that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses. And why should you not eat of that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned when He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, except that to which you are compelled? And indeed, many lead others astray by their desires without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord knows best the transgressors. And leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn sin will be recompensed for what they used to commit. And do not eat of that over which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed it is grave disobedience. And indeed, the devils inspire their allies to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed you"
