Qays bin Abu Hazim reported,

Abu Bakr stood up, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "People, you recite this verse, 'You who believe, take care of your own souls. Those who go astray cannot harm you if you are rightly guided' [Maidah 5:105]. But we heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'When people see wrongdoing and do not change it, Allah is about to encompass them all with His punishment.'"

Sahih

عن قيس بن أبي حازم قال

قام أبو بكر، فحمد الله وأثنى عليه، ثم قال: يا أيها الناس إنكم تقرأون هذه الآية {يأيها الذين ءامنوا عليكم أنفسكم لا يضركم من ضل إذا اهتديتم} وإنا سمعنا رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إن الناس إذا رأوا المنكر لا يغيرونه أوشك أن يعمهم الله بعقابه.
