Abdullah bin Masud reported,
When this verse was revealed, "There is no blame on those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they have eaten, so long as they fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, then fear Allah and believe, then fear Allah and do good. And Allah loves those who do good" [Maidah 5:93], the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "I was told, 'You are among them.'"

Sahihعن عبد الله بن مسعود قال
لما نزلت هذه الآية: {ليس على الذين امنوا وعملوا الصلحت جناح فيما طعموا اذا ما اتقوا وامنوا وعملوا الصلحت ثم اتقوا وامنوا ثم اتقوا واحسنوا والله يحب المحسنين} قال لي رسول الله ﷺ: قيل لي: أنت منهم.
Muslim narrated it in the Virtues of the Companions (2459) through several routes from Ali bin Mushir, from Amash, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah, and he mentioned it. Tabarani also narrated it in al-Kabir (10/77), and Hakim (4/143-144), both through the route of Sulayman bin Qarm, from Amash, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Ibn Masud, who said, "When the prohibition of wine was revealed, the Jews said, 'Were not your brothers who died accustomed to drinking it?' So Allah 
revealed "There is no blame upon those who believe" [Maidah 5:93]. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'It was said to me that you are one of them.'"Sulayman bin Qarm is disputed. Imam Ahmad held a favorable opinion of him, except that he considered him excessive in his leaning toward Shiism. He has diverged somewhat in the wording, but its basis is established.
