The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If ten Jews had followed me, not a single Jew would have remained on the face of the earth without embracing Islam."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لو تابعني عشرة من اليهود، لم يبق على ظهرها يهودي إلا أسلم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of the Ansar (3941), and Muslim in the Description of the Resurrection, Paradise, and Hellfire (2793), both through the route of Qurrah (that is, Ibn Khalid Sadusi), who said, Muhammad narrated to us (that is, Ibn Sirin), from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it. The wording given is Muslim's.Ahmad narrated it (8555) through the route of Abu Hilal, who said, Muhammad bin Sirin narrated to us with it, and in it, "If ten of the rabbis of the Jews had believed in me, every Jew on the face of the earth would have believed in me."What is meant by "the ten" here is their leaders. Had these believed, all the Jews on the face of the earth would have believed, because they follow their leaders. Otherwise, more than ten did in fact believe in him, the most famous of them being Abdullah bin Salam.
