The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah will not gather my Ummah," or he said, "this Ummah, upon misguidance ever, and the hand of Allah is over the community."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يجمع الله أمتي أو قال: هذه الأمة على الضلالة أبدا ويد الله على الجماعة.
Hakim narrated it (1/115) through two paths, from Salama bin Shabib and Abbas bin Abdul-Azim, both of them from Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Ibrahim bin Maymun informed us, Abdullah bin Tawus told me, he heard his father narrating, that he heard Ibn Abbas narrating that the Prophet ﷺ said, and he mentioned it. This is the report of Salama bin Shabib. In the report of Abbas bin Abdul-Azim it reads, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Maymun Adani narrated to us, and he used to be called the Quraysh of Yemen, and he was among the devoted worshippers who strove hard in worship.Hakim said, "This Ibrahim bin Maymun Adani was vouched for by Abdul-Razzaq, who praised him highly. Abdul-Razzaq is the imam of the people of Yemen, and his endorsement carries weight."This hadith was also narrated by Tirmidhi (2166) from Yahya bin Musa, who said, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, and he mentioned it with its chain. Its wording is "The hand of Allah is with the community." He said, "Hasan gharib, we do not know it from the hadith of Ibn Abbas except through this path."I say, it is as he said, for Ibrahim bin Maymun Sanani, also called Zubaydi, is hasan al-hadith. Ibn Main confirmed his reliability, and Ibn Hibban listed him among the trustworthy. So whoever opposes what people have unanimously agreed upon, whether in belief or in deeds, exposes himself to severe punishment, as Allah the Exalted said, "We let him follow what he has turned to, and We drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination."
