Sahl bin Saad reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A space in Paradise the size of one of your whips is better than this world and everything in it."

But when fighting was ordained for them, at once a party of them feared men as they fear Allah or with greater fear. They said, 'Our Lord, why have You ordained fighting for us? If only You had postponed it for us for a short time.' Say, 'The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for whoever fears Allah, and you will not be wronged even as much as a thread inside a date seed.'"

Zia-ur-Rahman Azami

Bukhari related it in the Book of Jihad (2892), and Muslim related it in the Book of Leadership (1881), both from the hadith of Abu Hazim, from Sahl bin Saad, who mentioned it in a long hadith. The wording given here is Bukhari's, and Muslim did not mention this wording.It has been said that the words of Allah Most High, "Have you not seen those who were told, 'Restrain your hands'" [Nisa 4:77], were revealed concerning the Jews, and that Allah تبارك وتعالى forbade this nation from doing what they did. This has been related from Ibn Abbas, but it is not sound, and the first view is the sahih one.
