The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies associating anything with Allah will enter the Fire."And I said, "Whoever dies not associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من مات يشرك بالله شيئا دخل النار وقلت أنا: من مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا دخل الجنة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Funerals (1238) and Muslim in the Book of Faith (92), both from the hadith of Amash, from Shaqiq, from Abdullah, and he mentioned it.Ahmad (3552) and others narrated it in reversed form, meaning that he said, "Two matters, one of them I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the other is from myself, 'Whoever dies while setting up a rival to Allah will enter the Fire.' And I say, 'Whoever dies without setting up a rival to Allah and without associating anything with Him will enter Paradise.'"Hushaym (Ibn Bashir) narrated it, saying, "Sayyar and Mughira informed us, from Abu Waail, who said, 'Ibn Masud said,'" and he mentioned it.Ibn Hibban likewise narrated it in his Sahih (251) through another route, from Abu Awana, from Mughira alone. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
