Ibn Masud said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Recite the Quran to me.'I said, "Shall I recite it to you, when it was revealed to you?"He replied, "I love to hear it from someone else."So I recited Surah Nisa, and when I reached, "How will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you against these as a witness?" [Nisa 4:41], I raised my head, or a man beside me nudged me, so I raised my head, and I saw his tears flowing.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Quran (5055) and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers (800), both of them through the route of Sulayman Amash, from Ibrahim, from Ubayda, from Abdullah bin Masud, who said, and he mentioned it.
